Laser Cutting

Laser Cutting is one of the most sought after machines in the Fablab and the most trickiest! Be aware that using the Laser Cutter means the responsibility is on you in the case of any problems or injuries. 

The Laser Cutting software's only reads Vector shapes, this means that your files prepared in Adobe Illustrator should be done only in strokes with no fill or other objects/images in the workspace when it is exported.

The Laser Cutting machine is an extremely dangerous machine, students are reminded to follow the appropriate steps when operating it.

Remember to ALWAYS CONSULT with lecturers before using the machines by showing them your settings and design to avoid any issues. The machines are password protected for your safety!
